Tour diary part 4
Since the last report, the Tour of Nero has proceeded up along the west coast. After having had several great shows on the L.A. ?
Vancouver stretch, we can conclude that the West was Won. Thanks goes out to Satyricon?s fans in Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver: together we rule! We observe that the tour is picking up, which is great. There is strength in spirit, but there is definitely also strength in numbers! Ambitious as we are, we opt for both.
Currently we are enjoying great sceneries on our way to Salt Lake City, still having the taste of cherry pie and coffee from Twede?s Café, North Bend, in the back of our mouths (Yep, that café is the ?double R diner? for those that know their Twin Peaks references). We feel eager to enter stage again after the long travels of the last few days. All supporters of Satyricon in America: we are rolling into your town! So you know where to be. 8.10.2009
Tour diary part 3
The spirit of Satyricon has always been connected to nature.
To enjoy it in its diversity and varying forms is something we find to be very rewarding; luckily all the travelling we do gives us the opportunity to see and experience more than most other people. Now; yesterday morning we woke up by the Grand Canyon, and we revelled as we beheld this truly spectacular and unique structure. We got a little time to enter the canyon and feel it?s might; a fine memory to bring home from the Tour of Nero in North America.
Stimulated and refuelled, we continue to go west. We look forward to greet our fans on the west coast, as we had some great gigs there in the winter. And it?s the real deal this time as we?re now headlining! Before ending this tour report we want to thank the crowds in San Antonio and Albuquerque for contributing to creating a couple of fiery shows in the Sign of the Trident. We now carry the torch to Los Angeles! 1.10.2009
Tour diary part 2
Having performed in front of our Orlando-fans, we headed westwards and started on a rather long journey to Texas.
On our way, we made a stop in New Orleans to fuel up on some fine Louisiana cuisine. As we sat down by the table and felt that titillating smell from the kitchen, a wave of hunger and expectation washed over us. That sense of hunger is a fine parallel to the band spirit these days. Memorable moments aren't created by us alone; you - that come out to enjoy Satyricon live - create them with us. To all our fans and followers in Houston: Make tonight's show a happening to remember for all of us.

Tour diary part 1
We had a really hectic day in Baltimore, Thursday trying to get everything in place for the opening show.
The crowd in Baltimore made sure we had a good opening night. Opening show technical bullshit is outshined by any crowd willing to put so much effort into making it a good night for everyone. In Norfolk, Virginia we got to catch three songs from Toxic Holocausts set and they were really good. All you guys in Norfolk: You are soldiers! Lots of love and respect from Satyricon.
Last night in Atlanta we got to catch some of Chthonic and tonight we will be checking out Bleeding Through. The line-up is really diverse with each band presenting their own extreme direction. The day before yesterday was a day off and the crew got a bbq going at a parking lot in Charlotte, NC! Not exactly a high-end bbq, but still an absurd and great way to spend some time off. We did a signing after the show in Atlanta and met nothing but cool and supportive people there. We can't promise an after-show signing every night, but we will try and get one going at the merch booth at the show in Orlando tonight. This is the last tour we are doing in America before our touring break, so now is the time to come out and show your support. We'll see you soon. |
